SJJES

Excellence in Education, Compassion in Action

About Us

Sree Jagadguru Jayavibhava Educational Society (SJJES) was born in 1962 out of a commitment to provide education as a social service, with a not-for-profit motive. SJJES offers affordable education to all, ensuring that every student, regardless of their background, receives the opportunity to learn and grow with a focus on inclusivity and equality. Our mission is to empower the community through education, laying the foundation for a brighter future.

The founder and President of SJJES, the late Sree Veerabhadrappa M. Chigateri, was an industrialist and visionary born on Children’s Day, November 14th, 1916. He has championed numerous social initiatives, guided by the philanthropic vision of his father, Sree Dharmaprakasha Murigappa Chigateri, a well-known humanitarian in Davanagere. His dedication to education continues through SJJES, as it serves generations of students to move towards a world of literacy and opportunity.
